The Beneteau 50 is a comfortable and safe sailing yacht, designed by the famous yacht designer Bruce Farr. This yacht has been modified, for even greater comfort for the crew. The bunk beds in the forward cabins have been widened and the front cabin can be reached via the interior of the yacht, thus making it a proper 5 cabin boat. In 2007 she had a major refit, with the hull being completely resprayed, new mainsail and genoa, new batteries, new gas stove and a new 12" colour chart plotter was installed. All in all a very comfortable yacht to spend your time at sea sailing or relaxing on the sun cushions. The large cockpit area, the flat (sun) decks and the large salon and cabins, gives one the idea you are on a much larger yacht. This yacht is ideal for families, where the parents have their own spacious master cabin, with en suite toilet and shower. The Oyster 49 is a top class sailing yacht, designed and made for people who want to combine sailing performance with luxury and craftsmanship. The living space and headroom throughout the yacht compares favourably with a number of much larger yachts. The saloon is air-conditioned, light and airy. There are two double island berth cabins and a cabin with twin bunks. A generator provides 220v wherever you are anchored or moored. The Oyster 49 is an excellent live-aboard blue water proposition for either 2 couples or a family of 4 (plus skipper and hostess accommodation) or up to 6 experienced sailors.
