THE SUPERYACHT CUP PALMA 2009

Palma Maritime offers you the chance to watch this fantastic race of the gaints from a frontseat position on the water.

Over 20 yachts have registered their interest for this years' regatta, a wide range of designs and sizes from 24m to over 50m. Of the confirmed entries, the Briand designed Gliss, built by Royal Huisman, returns for their 3rd Superyacht Cup, Shamoun (designed by Hoek and built by Claasen Jachtbouw) for their 2nd visit and the latest Wally, Saudade, designed by Bill Tripp is amongst the new comers this year.  It will be the first time the four J's, Ranger, Velsheda, Shamrock V and Hanuman will race against each other. 

Itinerary

 

24^th June   Any time after 13:00 you can arrive on your designated yacht.  This is registration Day for the Superyachts.  This day and evening will be free for you to go into Palma.

25^th June   1^st Race Day You will have breakfast at 8:30 in "Col Mar".  The Superyachts leave the dock between 10-11:30.  The skipper will sail you out to the start of the race, where you can see the yachts getting their sail ready and the first yacht starts at 13.00. Once all the Superyachts are sailing, there will be time for you to go sailing and have lunch.  The skipper will ensure that you are at the finish line as the Superyachts come back between 16-18:00.  Then it will be back to the marina and the evening is left free.

26^th June   2^nd Race Day Itinerary the same as 1^st race day.

27^th June   3^rd and final Race Day Itinerary the same as 1^st race day.

28^th June   Depart from your yacht before 09:00

 

Price

€ 600,-- per person or € 1.000,-- per double cabin.  Price includes berth on designated yacht, linen, services of a skipper for 3 days, breakfast and lunch on race days, water, fruit juice, wine and beer. All other meals and drinks are not included in the price.

 

You can of course also charter one of our yachts bareboat to watch the regatta.
